From the Download page, which lists four editions: macOS Universal, macOS Apple Silicon, Windows and Linux. Available now: macOS Apple Silicon 2.3.1, Windows 2.3.1, Linux 2.3.1. Each download has its version, size, SHA-256 checksum and the complete source code.

Apple Silicon is a native build for Macs with an M1 chip or newer, on macOS 14.4 or later; it does not run on Intel Macs. Universal, one application for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, is coming soon. Apple menu › About This Mac shows which chip you have.

The app is free software that is not notarized by Apple (it has an ad-hoc signature, not a Developer ID). Open it once with System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway. Please do not disable Gatekeeper for the whole Mac.

Make it executable (chmod +x ENG-Drawing-Viewer-Linux-x86_64.AppImage, or Properties › Permissions › Allow executing), then double-click it. It needs FUSE (the fuse3 package); without it, run it with --appimage-extract-and-run. Help › Add to Applications Menu adds it to your desktop menu.

MARK is a temporary review layer (pens, highlights, numbered callouts, comments) that never changes the PDF. Edit PDF, new in 2.3.0, changes real PDF content (text, shapes, images, redaction, page crop and rotate) and saves a new PDF with Save As.

No cloud. "Remove background automatically" is a conventional algorithm that runs locally. "Select Subject" needs an optional AI model pack that you install yourself; it runs offline, and none is bundled or downloaded automatically.

Treat it as a starting point. The Vector Editor warns about open, duplicate and crossing paths, but you still need to check the scale, kerf, material and machine settings. It does not produce G-code.

No account is needed. Drawing processing takes place locally. The application does not use a cloud document service.

No. MARK adds temporary annotations over the page. Copying or exporting creates an image, presentation or new PDF. Save the review before closing if you want to keep it.

No. The .pptx file is written locally; open it in any compatible presentation app. On Mac and Windows, if PowerPoint is running with a presentation open, you can also send slides straight into it; exporting a .pptx file needs no PowerPoint at all.

This conversion delegates to a locally installed LibreOffice. Install LibreOffice from its official source. Other conversions and drawing viewing do not require it.

Locally, without any service. On Mac, Make Searchable uses Apple Vision. On Windows and Linux it uses the Tesseract engine built into the app, with seven languages included.

Yes. PDFs and PNG, JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF and WebP images open like one-page drawings. iPhone HEIC photos open on Mac and Linux, and on Windows once Microsoft’s free HEIF and HEVC extensions are installed. Scan with iPhone is Mac-only and uses Apple Continuity Camera.

Mac: macOS 14.4 or later; the Apple Silicon edition needs an M1 or newer, and the Universal edition for Intel Macs is coming soon. Windows: Windows 10 (1809 or later) or 11, 64-bit, tested automatically on Windows Server 2022 and 2025 but not yet on an everyday PC. Linux: 64-bit x86-64 with glibc 2.34 or later (Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12, Fedora 35, RHEL 9 or newer), X11 or Wayland.

On Mac, drag the app to the Bin; settings, cache and logs stay in your Library under Application Support, Caches and Logs (each in an ENG Drawing Viewer folder) until you delete them. On Windows, delete the portable folder (or uninstall the 2.2.1 installer from Settings › Apps); settings are in %APPDATA%\ENG Drawing Viewer and the cache and logs in %LOCALAPPDATA%\ENG Drawing Viewer. On Linux, delete the AppImage (remove its menu entry first if you added one); settings are in ~/.config/ENG Drawing Viewer and the cache in ~/.cache/ENG Drawing Viewer. Your drawings and saved scans stay where you saved them.

Please do not post private drawings to public GitHub Issues. Create a small fictional reproduction, remove identifying information, and review logs and screenshots before sharing.
